About Luci

As a bilingual Spanish speaking therapist committed to multicultural sensitivity and humility, I enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds, ages, and life stages. I bring warmth, curiosity, and empathy to my work and strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space for you to discover and express your thoughts and feelings.

As a psychologist committed to multicultural sensitivity and humility, I enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds, ages, and life stages. I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults of all ages in individual and group therapy. I understand that it takes courage and vulnerability to seek help, and I respect and honor the process that brought you to this place.

Working from a relational psychodynamic foundation, my therapeutic approach is rooted in developing an open and trusting relationship with each client. I believe this is a key step in supporting and sustaining change. To facilitate this, I bring warmth, curiosity, and empathy to my work and strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space for you to discover and express your thoughts and feelings. I believe our early life experiences and attachment figures shape the way we see ourselves and relate to the world around us. In our work together, I aim to help you identify the roots of your concerns to help you better understand yourself and your patterns. This self-understanding often leads to an increase in confidence and a decrease in symptoms.

In addition to exploring past developmental experiences, I integrate more directive techniques from treatment modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness meditation as needed. I believe a balance between exploring the past and gaining mindful awareness of the present moment leads to the most effective therapeutic change.

My clinical interests include working with anxiety and mood disorders, identity development, immigration and acculturation issues, and relationship concerns. Over the past six years, I have worked at several college counseling centers and have a wealth of experience in working with young people exploring and developing their identities at this dynamic stage of life.  Furthermore, I am a bilingual Spanish speaking therapist, and can provide therapy in Spanish and English.
